Sync & backup

Hosted note sync, version history, conflicts, and encrypted backups.

QuickPeach keeps your notes as files on your machine and works fully offline. Hosted sync keeps them in step across multiple devices, and backups let you roll everything back if something goes wrong.

Set up hosted sync

You need a Sync Starter or Sync Pro plan and a signed-in account (see Account & licenses).

Once you're signed in and on a Sync plan:

  1. Open Settings → Account — your storage usage and sync status appear here.
  2. Sync runs automatically in the background. You can also trigger a manual Sync now at any time.
  3. Install QuickPeach on your other devices, sign into the same account, and your notes appear.

Your notes are encrypted before they leave your machine. The server stores ciphertext it can't read. The key is your recovery phrase — keep it safe (see Security & recovery).

Sync conflicts

Conflict — "Meeting — Q3 planning"
This note was edited on two devices. Pick which version to keep — nothing is deleted until you choose.

If you edit the same note on two devices before they connect, QuickPeach detects the conflict instead of silently overwriting one side. You'll see a prompt to review:

  • The conflict reviewer shows both versions side by side.
  • Choose which one to keep. The other is saved as a conflict copy until you dismiss it.
  • Nothing is lost — both versions exist until you make a decision.

Version history (Sync Pro)

With Sync Pro, QuickPeach keeps a history of every synced note. If you delete a section, paste something wrong, or want to compare with an earlier draft, you can roll back.

  • Version history is per-note and per-device.
  • Versions are kept for a rolling window; older ones are pruned automatically to save space.
  • The current version of a note is never pruned.

Local backups

Backups are separate from sync — they're a full encrypted snapshot of your vault that you can restore at any time, even without internet access.

Create a backup: Settings → SecurityCreate backup. You can also enable automatic backups so the app keeps recent snapshots in the background.

Restore a backup: Settings → SecurityRestore from backup → pick the archive file. The app restores your notes, settings, and extension data to the state at that snapshot.

Backup archives are encrypted with your recovery phrase. A backup file on its own, without the phrase, is unreadable.

What sync covers

  • All notes and their content.
  • Note metadata (title, pinned status, appearance settings).
  • Attachments attached to notes.

Settings and extension data are backed up locally but not synced across devices.
